Rorschach from Alan Moore's Watchmen.
"Was Rorschach" equates to "I was Rorschach" in his truncated, Miller-esque speech pattern.
With his trenchcoat and pinstripe suit, this smelly terror of the underworld sidesteps the law daily in a world where superheroes and vigilantes are outlawed, breaking criminal spirits and digits with impunity. He has cast aside his mild mannered 'alter-ego' self, and I decided to reflect this by making his shadow in the form of his namesake.
Sketched on bristol board. Painting and airbrushing done in CS2, 1.5 hours completion time.
